Palm Desert’s Community Gardens are open to all residents and local business owners, whether you’re a first-time gardener or a seasoned pro. Our gardens offer a place to grow your own plants, share tips with neighbors, and enjoy the many benefits of gardening.
Palm Desert has six Community Gardens located throughout the city:
- Guadalupe, Santa Rosa, San Nicholas, and Catalina
- Located along the southwest side of San Pablo Avenue between Santa Rosa Way and Guadalupe Avenue.
- Catalina will be closed for renovations during the fiscal year 2025–26 season. If the garden reopens early, priority will be given to those on the waiting list.
- Freedom Park
- 77400 Country Club Drive, inside Freedom Park
- University Park
- 74902 University Park Drive
Garden plots can be rented for for a flat fee of $50.00.
- Season Dates: September 2, 2025 – July 31, 2026
- Annual Maintenance Closure: August
- Reservations Open: September 2, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
- Reservations are first-come, first-served.
- Calls received before the opening time will be placed at the end of the waiting list.
