The City of Palm Desert and McCallum Theatre are seeking nominations of Coachella Valley veterans to be honored during a special Veterans Day Eve Celebration.
Community members are invited to nominate a veteran whose military service, leadership, or contributions to the community deserve recognition. Selected veterans will be featured during the event’s tribute to local heroes.
Nominations must be submitted through the online nomination form by Tuesday, September 15.
Veterans Day Eve Celebration
Veterans, military families, and community members are invited to join the City of Palm Desert and McCallum Theatre for an evening honoring those who have served.
The celebration begins with a welcome block party at 5:30 p.m., featuring food, activities, and an ice cream social on the plaza. At 7 p.m., the celebration moves inside the theatre for a high-energy classic rock concert featuring The Hit Men, along with a special tribute to Coachella Valley veterans.
The Hit Men includes accomplished musicians who have performed, toured, and recorded with artists such as Foreigner, Journey, Billy Joel, Elton John, Cheap Trick, Wings, The Who, and Tommy James. The 90-minute performance will feature more than 20 classic rock hits, behind-the-scenes stories, video production, and audience participation.
The Veterans Day Eve Celebration is presented by McCallum Theatre in partnership with the City of Palm Desert.
