Drop In at Palm Desert’s Free Civic Center Skate Park

Expanded daily hours give skaters more time to ride, practice, and take on the free park’s street features and bowl.

Grab your board and head to the Palm Desert Civic Center Skate Park, now open every day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is now completely free, with no membership required.

The 10,000-square-foot concrete park includes separate areas for beginner and advanced skaters, making it a great place to learn the basics, sharpen your skills, or take on a new challenge. Features include a street spine, 4-foot quarter pipes, rails, ledges, a large fun box, and a bowl.

With lighting throughout the facility, skaters can keep their sessions going after dark during the park’s extended evening hours.

The skate park is located at 43942 San Pablo Ave., behind Palm Desert Civic Center Park.

Before dropping in, remember that the facility is unsupervised and protective equipment is mandatory. Helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads must be worn at all times.

For rookies and experienced skaters alike, Palm Desert’s free skate park offers plenty of space to ride. No fees. No memberships. Just gear up, follow the rules, and skate.
