Palm Desert Station Significant Incident Report for Thursday, April 09, 2026

1:26 AM – Narcotics Sales Arrest – Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Monterey Avenue and Gran Via in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 35-year-old male from Cathedral City and found narcotics and items indicative of drug sales on him. An inquiry of the male’s information showed he had a warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

9:00 AM – Theft Arrest – Deputies conducted a follow-up investigation regarding a theft that occurred at a residence in the 74000 block of El Cortez Way in Palm Desert and identified a 46-year-old male from Palm Desert as the suspect. Deputies located him and found the stolen property on him. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

2:50 AM – Driving Under the Influence Arrest – Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Fred Waring Drive and Monterey Avenue in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 27-year-old male from Palm Desert who displayed a heightened level of intoxication. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.
 
5:07 AM – Battery Arrest – Deputies responded to a business in the 74000 block of Highway 111 in Palm Desert regarding a disturbance. Deputies contacted a 38-year-old male from Palm Desert and determined he had instigated a physical altercation with another person. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.
 
7:15 AM – Domestic Battery Arrest – Deputies responded to a business in the 34000 block of Monterey Avenue in Palm Desert regarding a domestic disturbance. Deputies contacted a 38-year-old male from Indio and determined he had instigated a physical altercation with his spouse. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.
 
1:02 PM – Theft and Parole Violation Arrest – Deputies responded to a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111 in Palm Desert regarding a theft. Deputies contacted a 30-year-old female from Indio and found the stolen merchandise on her. An inquiry of the female’s information showed she was on parole. The female was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

6:52 PM – Narcotics Arrest – Deputies conducted a pedestrian check at the intersection of Town Center Way and Hahn Road in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 36-year-old female from Palm Springs and found narcotics on her. The female was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.
 
9:39 – Narcotics and Probation Violation Arrest – Deputies conducted a pedestrian check at the intersection of San Gorgonio Way and San Pablo Avenue in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 29-year-old male from Palm Desert and found narcotics on him. An inquiry of the male’s information showed he was on county probation. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

11:27 PM – Driving Under the Influence and Narcotics Arrest – Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Cook Street and Cachuma Road in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted the driver, a 39-year-old male from La Quinta who displayed a heightened level of intoxication. Deputies also found narcotics on him. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

12:41 PM – Stolen Vehicle and Driving Under the Influence Arrest – Deputies conducted a traffic stop of a golf cart at the intersection of Avenue of the States and Washington Street in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted the driver, a 37-year-old male from Palm Desert who displayed a heightened level of intoxication. An inquiry into the golf cart’s information showed it had recently been reported stolen. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

10:16 PM – Theft and Parole Violation Arrest – Deputies responded to a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111 in Palm Desert regarding a theft. Deputies contacted a 31-year-old male and a 37-year-old female from Indio and found the stolen merchandise on them. An inquiry of the male’s information showed he was on parole. Both were arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

12:12 AM – Warrant Arrest – Deputies responded to a residence in the 77000 block of Delaware Place in Palm Desert regarding a disturbance. Deputies contacted a 28-year-old male at the residence. An inquiry of his information showed he had a warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

6:43 AM – Narcotics Arrest – Deputies responded to a business in the 74000 block of Technology Drive in Palm Desert regarding a suspicious person. Deputies contacted a 24-year-old male from La Quinta and found narcotics on him. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.
 
11:29 AM – Warrant Arrest – Deputies conducted a pedestrian check at the intersection of San Carlos Avenue and Alessandro Drive in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 53-year-old male from Palm Desert. An inquiry of his information showed he had a warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.
 
5:21 PM – Theft Arrest – Deputies responded to a business in the 34000 block of Monterey Avenue in Palm Desert regarding a theft. Deputies contacted a 35-year-old male from Torrance and a 40-year-old female from Los Angeles and found the stolen merchandise on them. Both were arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

8:07 AM – Narcotics Arrest – Deputies conducted a pedestrian check at the intersection of Palm Desert North Drive and De Anza Way in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 51-year-old male from Palm Desert and found narcotics on him. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

10:52 AM – Theft and Probation Violation Arrest – Deputies responded to a business in the 42000 block of Cook Street in Palm Desert regarding a theft. Deputies identified a 35-year-old male and a 35-year-old female from Thousand Palms and located them in their vehicle at a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111 with the stolen property inside. An inquiry of their information showed they were both on county probation. Both were arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

12:23 PM – Public Intoxication Arrest – Deputies responded at the intersection of Cook Street and Frank Sinatra Drive in Palm Desert regarding a suspicious person. Deputies contacted a 37-year-old male from Hawaii who displayed a heightened level of intoxication. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.
 
12:30 PM – Theft Arrest – Deputies responded to a business in the 72000 block of Highway 111 in Palm Desert regarding a theft. Deputies contacted a 56-year-old female and a 67-year-old male from Palm Desert and found the stolen merchandise on them. Both were arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

6:51 AM – Driving Under the Influence Arrest – Deputies responded to the intersection of Portola Avenue and Shadow Mountain Drive in Palm Desert regarding a traffic collision. Deputies contacted one of the drivers, a 39-year-old male from Coachella, who displayed a heightened level of intoxication. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.

11:18 AM – Narcotics Arrest – Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Monterey Avenue and Highway 111 in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 59-year-old male from Thermal and found narcotics on him. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.
 
3:30 PM – Theft Arrest – Deputies conducted a follow-up investigation into a theft that occurred at the intersection of San Juan Avenue and Alessandro Drive in Palm Desert on 04/12/2026 and identified an 18-year-old male from Indian wells as the suspect. Deputies located him at the intersection of West Drive and 4th Street in Desert Hot Springs and arrested him. The male was booked at the county jail in Indio.
 
8:18 PM – Domestic Battery Arrest – Deputies responded to a residence in the 74000 block of Hovley Lane East in Palm Desert regarding a domestic disturbance. Deputies contacted a 23-year-old male from Palm Desert and determined he had instigated a physical altercation with his spouse. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio.
