Local businesses interested in working with public agencies across the Coachella Valley are encouraged to attend the 3rd Annual Coachella Valley Local Government Vendor Fair, taking place on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Palm Springs Convention Center (277 N. Avenida Caballeros).
This free event provides a unique opportunity for businesses to connect directly with representatives from cities and public agencies throughout the region, including the City of Palm Desert. Attendees will gain valuable insight into how local governments procure goods and services and learn how to successfully register and compete for contracts.
The Vendor Fair is designed to demystify the public procurement process, which can often seem complex or intimidating for first-time vendors. Participants will receive guidance on how to get started doing business with public agencies, including information on bidding procedures, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and contract requirements.
In addition to educational presentations, the event will feature opportunities for one-on-one engagement with department representatives and decision-makers responsible for purchasing and contracting. This direct access allows vendors to better understand agency needs and build relationships that can lead to future business opportunities.
Local governments contract with a wide range of service providers, including landscapers, painters, plumbers, electricians, janitorial and security services, as well as web developers, technology consultants, printing companies, graphic designers, and marketing agencies.
